Bagasse Shredder

The Bagasse Shredder is a robust and efficient machine designed specifically for processing sugarcane bagasse, a byproduct of the sugar extraction process. Utilizing advanced dual-shaft shear shredding technology, this equipment effectively reduces bagasse into uniform particles suitable for various applications, including boiler fuel production.

Sugarcane Bagasse Shredder in Thailand

In response to Thailand's sugarcane industry's waste management challenges, a project in Thailand, utilizes GEP ECOTECH dual-shaft shear shredder to process sugarcane bagasse into boiler fuel. With a production capacity of 40 tons per hour, this system efficiently reduces bagasse into uniform particles, ideal for combustion in power plant boilers. Project OverviewGEP ECOTECH's sugarcane bagasse shredder was installed and officially launched in Thailand in mid-July last year. It is mainly used to crush and dispose bagasse, corn straw and rice straw collected in power plants. Currently, the sugarcane bagasse shredder has successfully reached customers' the original design indicators, the output is stable at at least 40 tons per hour, and the discharge size is about 10cm. Let's take a look at the specific performance of GEP ECOTECH's bagasse shredder.Sugarcane Bagasse Shredder introduction At the heart of this project lies the GEP ECOTECH advanced dual-shaft shear shredder, a robust and powerful machine

What Equipment Is Used to Shred Wet BagasseWhat Equipment Is Used to Shred Wet Bagasse

Shredding wet bagasse, which is a fibrous byproduct of sugarcane processing used in various industrial applications, requires specialized equipment to handle its moisture content and fibrous nature. Here's an overview of the types of equipment typically used for this purpose:Hammer Mills: A common choice for shredding bagasse, hammer mills use rotating hammers to break down the material. They are effective for wet bagasse because they can handle materials with high moisture content. The high-speed rotation of the hammers crushes and shreds the bagasse into smaller pieces, making it more manageable and useful for further processing.Twin-Shaft Shredders: These shredders have two counter-rotating shafts with cutting discs that intermesh to tear apart the bagasse. Twin-shaft shredders are particularly effective for wet, bulky, and fibrous materials like bagasse, providing efficient size reduction.Single-Shaft Shredders: Although less common for very wet materials, single-shaft shredders can be used for bagasse

Sucrose is an important food, condiment and chemical raw material in the world today. As one of the important sources of sucrose, sugar cane is an important economic crop and widely planted in Brazil, India, southern China, Thailand, Pakistan, Mexico, Colombia, Australia, Guatemala, United States, Indonesia, Philippines, Argentina, Cuba, Vietnam, Egypt, South Africa, Myanmar, Peru, Ecuador and other places. In the process of sugarcane planting and extraction, various sugarcane leaves, bagasse and other residues are produced, which is also an important resource and can be used for papermaking raw materials or biofuels. This article focuses on the conversion of bagasse into biofuel. There are two ways to convert sugarcane bagasse and sugarcane leaves into biofuel, one is to convert it into combustible gas by high temperature gasification or anaerobic fermentation, the other way is to use a shear shredder to process it into suitable size that called as solid fuel, which can be burned directly in boiler.

Agricultural Waste Shredder for Biomass PlantAgricultural Waste Shredder for Biomass Plant

In biomass power plants or thermal plants, which need to consume a large amount of fuel continuously, they buy large amounts of agricultural wastes from farms, such as corn, wheat, rice straw, sugarcane bagasse, palm husks, etc., which are used as fuels that can be burned in boilers. The fuel processing system is the necessary equipment to turn these biomass into qualified fuel, the shredder is the core equipment of the fuel supply system. In the biomass fuel supply system manufactured by AIShred, we recommend the use of a dual-shaft shearing shredder, which can shred the waste to a minimum of 5cm, maximum production capacity upto 60 tons per hour, high water content materials can be handed, which meets the requirements of most biomass power plants. AIShred can help you design a biomass power plant fuel processing system according to your boiler type, site layout and other technical requirements to ensure safe, stable and up-to-standard operation.
