Waste Refrigerator Recycling Processing Line: A Complete Solution from Waste to Renewable Resources

With the continued advancement of the trade-in policy for household appliances, the demand for recycling and processing of waste refrigerators is growing rapidly. How to efficiently and compliantly convert waste refrigerators into reusable renewable resources has become a key concern in the industry. We provide complete waste refrigerator crushing and sorting equipment to help customers establish standardized and efficient recycling lines.

Pretreatment: The First Step for Safety and Compliance

After waste refrigerators enter the processing line, a series of pretreatment procedures must first be completed. Each refrigerator is first weighed on a scale and affixed with an information barcode to achieve full-process traceable management. Subsequently, specialized equipment extracts the refrigerant (Freon) from the refrigerator to prevent its leakage into the atmosphere. Next, workers cut and remove the compressor, and drain the mineral oil completely through drilling holes for collection. These refrigerants and waste mineral oils are hazardous wastes and need to be disposed of separately in compliance with regulations.
After these pretreatment steps are completed, the refrigerator body can enter the next stage of the crushing and sorting process.

Two-Stage Shredding + Crushing Combined Process for Uniform Output

The pretreated refrigerator body is fed into the crushing system. This step employs a combined process of "twin-shaft shredder + crusher." The twin-shaft shredder is responsible for the primary coarse shredding of the entire refrigerator, shredding the large body into smaller blocky materials; then the crusher performs secondary fine crushing, further processing the materials into uniform, standardized crushed particles. This combined design lays a solid foundation for the subsequent sorting stage, effectively improving sorting efficiency and the resource value of the products.
The entire crushing process is carried out in a closed environment, with supporting dust collection systems and exhaust gas treatment devices ensuring that dust and exhaust emissions meet standards.

Sorting: Multi-Stage Technical Combination for Precise Separation of Various Materials

The crushed mixed materials enter the multi-stage sorting system. This step requires the use of various sorting technologies including magnetic separation, eddy current separation, air separation, glass vibrating screen, and copper-aluminum color sorting.
Magnetic separation uses strong magnetic force to separate ferromagnetic metals (mainly iron) from the materials; eddy current separation utilizes the principle of electromagnetic induction to separate non-ferrous metals with good conductivity, such as copper and aluminum; air separation and color sorting are used to distinguish non-metallic materials such as plastics, glass, and foam. Through this series of sorting processes, resources including iron, copper, aluminum, plastics, and glass are efficiently recovered.
The sorted materials enter different collection devices respectively, and can be directly baled or sent to subsequent deep-processing stages.
